WHAT IS BOLD MINISTRIES

Bold Ministries is a pair of people devoted to dynamic, full and BOLD ministry to the young church.  BOLD Ministries presents the Gospel with vibrancy and humor, always centered on the beautiful content of the Catholic faith.  BOLD ministries creates environments in which young people’s ‘Hearts burn within them’ when encountering the person of Christ.

WHO IS BOLD MINISTRIES

Michael Chamberland
Mike Chamberland is currently the director of Evangelization for Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, in Michigan.  Michael’s educational formation includes a BA in Theology and Catechetics, and a Masters of Arts degree in Theology and the New Evangelization from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit.

Michael has enjoyed traveling, learning and ministering to youth as a high school religion teacher, youth minister, confirmation preparation coordinator and junior high youth minister.  Michael also lead worship as a Life Teen Music minister and helped lead music and prayer at a variety of other catechetical and youth functions.

Beyond the realms of catechetics and evangelization Michael enjoys being a husband to his wife Kellie, playing the drums, guitar, hiking, camping, cooking and quality time with friends.  Michael and his wife live in Livonia, MI with their black lab Kaleb. 

Mary Wilkerson
Mary Wilkerson has worked within the Archdiocese of Detroit for the better part of 20 years, ministering to teens in 6th-12th grade, developing a Confirmation Program and working with adults to advocate for Young People.  Mary’s educational formation includes a BA in Theology with a Religious Education focus.

Mary has ministered to young people in a variety of ways in her role as a campus minister, coordinator of youth ministry, confirmation prep coordinator, young adult minister and junior high youth minster.  She is a dynamic retreat leader who has worked in the Archdiocese of Detroit and Diocese of Lansing.  Mary’s passions include working with women in all walks of life,  pastorally responding to the question of homosexuality, and presenting themes of discipleship in a humorous, practical way.

Mary’s greatest accomplishment however is her family; she is a wife to Aaron and a mother to her three boys,  and two little girls.  Some of Mary’s very favorite things are travel, Michigan football, and spending time with friends/family.  Mary and her family live in Redford, MI.
